If it is not, you should activate mysql extension. Verify this by looking at the value returned by: < ?php phpinfo() ? > That should now work.
It turns out that the mysql.ini file in /etc/php.d only had a module name but needed a full path name. www.domain.com/mysqltest.php and see what happens. Browse other questions tagged php mysql or ask your own question.
