I turned off Dropbox and voila ... However it seemed to be fixed with the latest LION update. I'm running Snow Leopard Server to back up remote clients and the server itself to an external drive.

Interrupted read/write operation: The chances of Mac file corruption or deletion also takes place when we interrupt the ongoing read/write process in midway resulting in Time Machine Error Code 6584 situation.
