If it turns out this is not a bug, I apologize for going through the wrong system. Why are unsigned numbers implemented? Turned out it wasn't PostgreSQL that was the problem when using Apache2 + PostgreSQL (although it was in XAMPP), but I would never have worked it out without error messages. Why are empty blocks not all the same size?
I am not running php in the command line primarily. You could try using a tool such as Sysinternals' Filemon to view what files are attempting to be accessed when running PHP. Browse other questions tagged server php postgresql xampp or ask your own question. Note that with the standard version of Propel in symfony (1.2.1), you don't want the PDO stuff, as that was not taken up by Propel until version 1.3. I am new to working with both PHP, servers and databases, but I get the following error message.

The solution was that I added the following line to the apache httpd.conf: LoadFile "C:/Program Files (x86)/php/libpq.dll" It seems that for some reason this file is not loaded automatically when apache Do php -m at the command line to see if it is included, or run a phpinfo() script in a browser.
